Working on the next chapter
This week: embodied cognition, extended selves, and why social media is like a limb you can't control.

I'm finding that the combination of iPad and keyboard is great for 90% of my writing. The fact that there are online databases and other productive distractions that I CAN'T access from the iPad (or haven't figured out how to get to) is a positive right now; and the fact that Write Room doesn't save to the same Dropbox folder as Scrivener is a bit of a pain, but isn't overwhelmingly difficult.
And in a way, the combination of Write Room-- which keeps you extremely focused on the document you're working on-- and Scrivener-- with its organizational and structural features-- is pretty awesome. They're very different kinds of tools, but having both, and having them be SEPARATE, is working well for me.
